Are you a youth (ages 16-25) living in Alberta and interested in undertaking an environmental stewardship project in your community?
If your answer to the above question is "yes", then you may be eligible to apply for up to $5,000 in financial support for your project through the YES Grant Program.
The Youth Environmental Stewardship (YES) Grant Program was created to
enable Alberta Youth to turn their ideas for stewardship into action.
YES Grants will provide up to $5,000 to a single project undertaken by a individual or group of youth. The grants are financed by Alberta Environment and administered in partnership with the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation.
In addition to project funding, successful applicants will also be provided with project management training and support from a network of other grantees through Alberta Ecotrust. Each grantee will also receive mentoring during their project by volunteers from the Young Environmental Professionals, who will provide project oversight.
