Hiking in the Bow Valley corridor is a summer treat and an activity that is increasing in
popularity. As recreational and residential demands on the Bow Valley corridor
increase, so do the chances of human-wildlife conflicts.

The Wildlife Ambassador Volunteer Program – a collaborative effort between Bow Valley WildSmart, The Friends of Kananaskis Country and Alberta Parks  – is a community driven initiative that will promote responsible land use and wildlife safety ethics through public education.

The program will place well trained volunteers on trails and in campgrounds to engage people in friendly conversations promoting smart trail etiquette and increased awareness of wildlife safety and habitat needs.
