Year: 2007 Cycle: Spring Amount: $7,500 Visit grantee's website Monitoring Director: Roger Crowley Friends of Kananaskis Country Cooperating Association Hiking in the Bow Valley corridor is a summer treat and an activity that is increasing in The Wildlife Ambassador Volunteer Program – a collaborative effort between Bow Valley WildSmart, The Friends of Kananaskis Country and Alberta Parks – is a community driven initiative that will promote responsible land use and wildlife safety ethics through public education. The program will place well trained volunteers on trails and in campgrounds to engage people in friendly conversations promoting smart trail etiquette and increased awareness of wildlife safety and habitat needs. |
