Year: 2007 Cycle: Spring Amount: $7,500 Visit grantee's website Monitoring Director: Philip Penner Edmonton Bicycle Sharing Society As an alternative to motorized transport for shorter trips, cycling provides for many environmental and community health benefits. Community Grant funds from Alberta Ecotrust will enable the Edmonton Bicycle Sharing Society to increase the use of bicycling as a means of transportation by engaging satellite community residents to identify barriers to bicycle commuting, strategies for reducing those barriers and increasing the general awareness of cycling benefits.
