To help rural landowners and community members more effectively protect local environments, the Prairie Chapter of the Sierra Club has launched an innovative project to equip concerned citizens to act as environmental stewards in their communities. Multi-year grant funding from Alberta Ecotrust enables this unique grassroots training and resource project to engage community members across the Athabasca watershed, and to help develop community leaders through workshops, trainings and sustained support.
