Keepers of the Athabasca: Coordination and Community Development

Keepers of the Athabasca Watershed Society

There is a need for geographically separate residents of the Athabasca Watershed to build relationships and understanding amongst themselves as it relates to their concerns about the health of the watershed. With three-year project support from Alberta Ecotrust, Keepers of the Athabasca will engage First Nations and Metis communities, watershed citizen groups and individual residents of the Athabasca Watershed in community outreach, education and advocacy to support the stewardship and protection of this watershed.
