Bow Valley Sustainability Hub

Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley

As the need for sustainability becomes increasingly evident in communities across
Alberta, so does the need for successful models of sustainability that a community can learn from and adopt.

To address the need in the Town of Canmore, the Biosphere Institute collaboratively launched the Bow Valley Sustainability Hub in 2006, a community centre focused solely on providing sustainability education and enabling action through a diversity of training, outreach and networking activities.

Funding from Alberta Ecotrust will enable the Hub to continue its first year programming through the summer and to prepare for another full year of pioneering, collaborative, community-based sustainability work commencing in the fall of 2007.
