Crooked Creek Conservancy Society of Athabasca

Growing concern about the state of the Athabasca River has compelled the Crooked Creek Conservancy Society to work with local citizens and First Nations groups to better manage, protect and restore this important waterway.

Through a Major Project Grant from Alberta Ecotrust, a Community Development Team Director has been hired to coordinate workshops, build the capacity of existing citizens’ groups, and formally found and create a stable platform for Athabasca River Basin Alliance.
