Established in 1991 by visionary individuals in the corporate and environmental NGO sector, Alberta Ecotrust was developed to bring together progressive corporations and pragmatic environmental organizations in the common cause of catalyzing and supporting grassroots community-based action to protect and preserve the environment. It continues to stand as a unique and innovative model of corporate – NGO partnership across Canada. Ecotrust provides a platform for constructive dialogue on how volunteer individuals and community organizations can make a difference through community-based environmental solutions, and a means to support such initiatives.
A sincere thanks to our generous and committed corporate and ENGO partners, who help Alberta Ecotrust protect the environment through their commitment of time and expertise. We are grateful for the dedication of their volunteer representatives who donate their time and energy to review project proposals, meet with qualified applicants and contribute to the future direction of Alberta Ecotrust as members of our board of directors.
