Photovoice is an emerging education tool that combines photography with grassroots social action. Subjects are asked to represent their community or point of view by taking photographs, which give insight into how people conceptualize their circumstances. As a form of community consultation, photovoice helps bring the perspectives of everyday people to the attention of those who represent the policy-making process.
