Alberta Ecotrust partners welcome newest member, FT Services, into their unique partnership of environmental groups and corporations that work side by side to facilitate positive environmental change at the community level. FT Services provides operational and maintenance support to the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining and mineral processing and power generation industries in the Canadian market.

"Corporations continue to recognize the importance of leadership in environmental stewardship, especially in communities where they operate, even amidst a slowing economy. Alberta Ecotrust welcomed three new corporate partners in 2008 and if January is any indication, 2009 shows no sign of slowing down," says Pat Letizia, executive director of Alberta Ecotrust.

"Not only does their commitment demonstrate their leadership, but it also indicates the growing value Alberta Ecotrust provides to donors. One large donation to our Foundation is leveraged in grants to many groups across Alberta, allowing us to increase the funding we provide to community environmental initiatives."
