On Farm Stewardship Planning for Small Acreage Owners

Ownership of small acreages and hobby farm properties is growing in the province of Alberta. This growth is placing an increasing strain on the local municipalities and on the environment. Owners of these properties are increasingly searching for information on how best to manage their lands in a sustainable manner. The project will focus on the protection and restoration of natural assets in a manner consistent with land use practices implemented by neighboring primary producers. The primary goal is to educate landowners about these natural assets and identify strategies to best manage them based on their individual objectives.
