A $15,000 thank you

In honour of the extraordinary commitment of our Partners over the last 15 years, Alberta Ecotrust Foundation will award a one-time $15,000 Anniversary Grant to support the environmental protection and conservation work of one of our actively participating non-profit Partners.

Alberta Ecotrust has awarded almost $5 million in grants to non-profit organizations working on environmental issues since 1992. Built on a foundation of collaboration and partnership, Alberta Ecotrust has 26 Partners, 13 from the corporate sector and 13 from the non-profit (or voluntary) sector. People from these 26 organizations provide leadership and vision to Alberta Ecotrust, forming the Board of Directors and Grant Review Committee, where decisions are made and grants are awarded to Alberta groups protecting the environment.

"We are thrilled to be able to surprise one of our hard-working non-profit Partners with some extra resources," says Alberta Ecotrust Executive Director Pat Letizia . "Raising money for environmental organizations in Alberta is not easy, and our environmental Partners actively and generously contribute their expertise and time to a variety of community projects that do not often benefit them directly. This is a great way for Alberta Ecotrust and our industry partners to say thank you!"

The draw for the Alberta Ecotrust $15,000 Anniversary Grant will be made and the winner announced at our Art of Environmental Leadership 15th Anniversary Celebration on April 24, 2008 at the Art Gallery of Calgary.
