Dear Friend of Alberta Ecotrust...

Did you know that only 4% of Albertans make charitable donations to the environment? Alberta Ecotrust raises money from caring individuals who believe that a healthy environment is the foundation of a healthy community. The money is then invested in people who protect:

Our supply of fresh

water

There are presently over 200 groups led by volunteers that are protecting and managing rivers, creeks, lakes and wetlands in our Alberta communities.

Our world-famous

wildlife

Conservation groups are working hard to protect the wilderness home of grizzly bears and songbirds, and keep it healthy for all of us to enjoy.

The quality of our

prairie-fresh air

Nonprofit groups are providing much of the leadership, public dialogue and policy negotiation needed on air quality, climate change and energy conservation.

Give Green now and double the value of your gift!

If you give green before December 31st, your donation will be matched by Alberta’s Community Spirit Program!

In 2009, our goal for individual donations is $20,000. With the Community Spirit matching program, that means $40,000 to support projects around Alberta. Your dollars will make a big difference!

Alberta Ecotrust is a unique “roots and suits” community of businesses, nonprofit groups and individuals. Together, we raise money and make grants to great Alberta environmental projects.

Albertans are eligible for a 50% tax credit on charitable donations over $200 – one of the highest rates in Canada!
