Community engagement during the demonstration phase of the Ecohome is an important part of the Ecohome success story. Learning opportunities for the community will be provided by holding complimentary open houses and educational workshops at the Ecohome during the fall of 2005.
Ecohome Education Program Sponsors
With support from The Calgary Foundation and Environment Canada, Alberta Ecotrust has collaborated with existing organizations to create the educational resources and provide the educational outreach program for the Ecohome. Calgary is fortunate to have a dedicated group of non-profit organizations and municipal government outreach departments that are active in promoting environmental sustainability within their area of expertise.
The partnering organizations of the Ecohome Education Program play a pivotal role in outreaching to the community. Volunteers and staff from the Ecohome Education Partner organizations will be at the Ecohome on open house dates to be a resource to visitors touring the home. In addition, experts and outreach staff from Education Partners will be conducting the public education workshops this fall at the Ecohome. Visit our Public Events and Open House schedule to find out the dates and times our Education Partners will be at the Ecohome.
Alberta Ecotrust would like to thank the Ecohome Education Partners for their contribution in the success of the education program.
